What does meemoo do?
- We safeguard the past in digital form, exactly as it’s captured in images, sounds and newspapers;
- We make this content accessible and usable;
- We gather expertise about digital archive operations, and actively share it with the wider community.
Looking for (moving) images and audio?
We make our content partners’ digital archive content accessible via various platforms, so you can:
- browse descriptions of Flemish content
- discover collection pieces from Flemish museums
- search through newspapers from WW1
- find moving images and audio to use in the classroom
- take a look in our partners’ archives as a content partner

GIVE: Coordinated Initiative for Flemish Heritage Digitisation
GIVE, the Coordinated Initiative for Flemish Heritage Digitisation, is the umbrella name for four digitisation projects that are being implemented before the end of 2023. Together with many other partners in the cultural field, meemoo is committed to digitising newspapers, glass plates and Flemish masterpieces, and working hard to enrich more metadata.
